Steve Gunderson, new leader of private sector college association, has been known as a political moderate with strong views on gay rights Gunderson Up until last week's appointment of new CEO Steve Gunderson, the Association of Private Sector Colleges and Universities seemed to prefer hiring high-profile Democratic political candidates to lead the group. The group's last permanent CEO, Harris Miller, was a candidate in the 2006 Democratic Senate primary in Virginia.
